Flanges are disk-shaped parts, most common in pipeline engineering, and flanges are used in pairs.
Flange connection is the two pipes, pipe fittings or equipment, first fixed on a flange, between the two flanges, plus flange pad, bolted together to complete the connection. Some pipe fittings and equipment have their own flanges, which are also flange connections. Flanges are divided into threaded connection (wire connection) flanges and welded flanges. Low pressure small diameter wire flange, high pressure and low pressure large diameter are welded flange, different pressure flange thickness and connection bolt diameter and number are different.
Titanium flange has good comprehensive performance, so it is widely used in chemical industry, construction, water supply, drainage, petroleum, light and heavy industry, refrigeration, health, water heating, fire, power, aerospace, shipbuilding and other basic engineering.
Flat welded flange refers to a flange connected with a container or pipe by a fillet weld. It is an arbitrary flange. According to the integrity of the connection between the flange ring and the straight barrel section, the design is checked according to the integral or loose flange. There are two kinds of flange rings with neck and without neck. Compared with the neck butt welded flange, the flat welded flange has simple structure and less material, but the stiffness and sealing property are not as good as that of the neck butt welded flange. Flat welded flange is widely used in the connection of medium and low pressure vessels and pipelines.
The flat welded flange is suitable for the pipeline system where the pressure grade is relatively low and the pressure fluctuation, vibration and shock are not serious. The advantages of flat welded flange in the flat welded flange welding assembly is easier to align, and the price is cheaper, so it has been widely used.
