Its powerful design is engineered to handle the largest and hardest rocks and ores, reducing them to a size suitable for secondary crushing. The working principle of a jaw crusher is straightforward and highly effective, based on compressive force:
Feed Material: Large rocks are fed into the top of the crushing chamber from a vibrating feeder.
Fixed & Movable Jaws: The chamber consists of two jaw dies: a fixed jaw and a movable jaw.
Reciprocating Motion: The movable jaw moves in an elliptical orbit, driven by an eccentric shaft. It periodically presses the rock against the fixed jaw.
Crushing Action: The rock is crushed by the immense compressive force generated between the two jaw plates.
Gravity Discharge: The crushed material becomes smaller and moves down the chamber by gravity until it is small enough to escape through the opening at the bottom (the discharge gap).
