Type of friction clutch
The number of friction surfaces used by the friction clutch frequency converter, the form and installation position of the compression spring, and the form of the operating mechanism are different, and the overall structure is also different.
The value of the maximum torque that the friction clutch can transmit depends on the pressing force and friction factor between the friction surfaces, as well as the number and size of the friction surfaces.
1. The friction clutch is divided into single disc clutch and double disc clutch according to the number of driven discs
1) The single-disc clutch has a driven disk, and its front and rear sides reach the friction lining, so it has two friction surfaces. For cars and light trucks, the maximum torque value of the engine is generally not too large, which can withstand the requirements of the maximum torque transmission.
2) Double disc clutch For medium and heavy vehicles, the maximum torque value transmitted by the clutch is required. In this way, some measures may need to be taken to increase the ability to transmit the maximum torque.
2. The structure of friction clutch clutch tight spring is divided into coil spring clutch and diaphragm spring clutch
1) Coil spring clutch Coil spring clutch is divided into peripheral spring clutch and central spring clutch according to the arrangement of spring on the pressure plate. A clutch that uses multiple coil springs as compression springs and is distributed adjacently along the pressure plate center (or driven plate) is called a peripheral spring clutch; a coil spring with only one or two vertical forces (insert coil spring or rectangular section) Conical coil spring), and placed concentrically with the pressure plate (or driven plate) in the center of the clutch, called the central spring clutch.
2) The diaphragm spring clutch uses a diaphragm spring as a compression spring, which is called a diaphragm spring clutch.
