Indications
It is indicated for the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of conditions including meniscal injuries, anterior and posterior cruciate ligament ruptures, articular cartilage injuries, intra-articular free bodies (also known as arthrogryposis), osteoarthritis, inflammatory joints, hyperpigmented villous nodular synovitis, crystalline arthropathies, infectious arthritis and traumatic arthritis.
Advantages
Arthroscopy can see almost all parts of the joints, which is more comprehensive than cutting open the joints, and more accurate because the images are magnified.
