What's the difference between American UPVC double-hung windows and UPVC
sliding windows?
Opening method: American UPVC double-hung windows use a vertical opening up
and down, while UPVC sliding windows have a left and right sliding opening. Lift-and-pull
windows can provide a larger opening area, usually up to 1/2 or even more opening,
resulting in better ventilation and views. In contrast, sliding windows usually open no more
than half the area.
Ventilation: Because the opening height of a UPVC double-hung window can be designed
to be close to human height, ventilation and comfort are greatly enhanced. The ventilation
effect of sliding windows is limited by the opening area.
Security: American UPVC double-hung windows have a structure that is difficult to intrude
from the outside, and therefore excel in crime prevention.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Sliding windows are relatively easy to clean, but due to the
sliding of the window, dust may accumulate in the track and need to be cleaned regularly.
When choosing a window, the most appropriate type of window should be determined by
