The working principle of reverse osmosis technology is to use semi permeable membrane to separate pure water and solute containing solution. The semi permeable membrane can only pass through water. At this time, there will be a pressure difference on both sides of the membrane, which is called osmotic pressure. If a pressure greater than the osmotic pressure is applied to one side of the solution, the water molecules in the solution will be squeezed to the pure water side. This process is the opposite of osmosis and is called reverse osmosis.
