The self adhesive pvc film is primarily composed of polyvinyl choloride, a synthetic plastic material known for its durability and versatility. Before applying the PVC film, it is important to ensure that the surface is clean, dry and smooth. Remove any dust, dirt or imperfections prior to measurement and cutting. Measure the dimensions of the surface, adding a few extra inches to each side to allow for trimming. Cut the film to size with either a sharp utility knife or scissors. Peel off a few inches of the backing paper from one end of the PVC film and begin applying it to the surface. Start at one corner or edge and align it with the surface. Gradually remove the backing paper and smooth the film onto the surface, using a squeegee or a credit card to remove any air bubbles. It may also be necessary to use a squeegee or credit card to gently push out any air bubbles which have been trapped beneath the film. Trim away any excess along the edges with either a utility knife or scissors. Finally, wipe over the entire surface with a clean cloth or sponge to ensure the film is securely in place and free from any air bubbles or wrinkles.
