THE SCRATCH EFFECTIVE OF OUR PPF?

Generally, TPU or TPH materials with a film thickness of 6.5-10mil can effectively resist daily scratches, stone splashes and other mild impacts. Thicker films (above 8mil) disperse the impact force, reduce the depth of scratches, and even have self-repair functions. However, too thick may affect the fit and easily warp the edges. Experiments show that the scratch resistance of 8mil film is about 30% higher than that of 6mil, while 10mil can resist scratches from sharp objects such as keys. Reasonable selection of thickness requires a balance between protection and construction.

1.Top layer (coating): generally hydrophobic, anti-UV coating, anti-fouling and anti-oxidation, some with self-repairing function, can repair minor scratches.

2.Middle layer (substrate): core protective layer, TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) or PVC material, determines impact resistance, scratch resistance and ductility, thickness directly affects the protection level.

3.Adhesive layer: low glue or pressure-sensitive adhesive, ensure fit to the car body without residual glue, high-quality film uses traceless back glue technology.

4.Bottom layer (release film): protect the adhesive layer before construction, peel off when using.

1. Is it necessary to apply car protection film on new cars? 

Yes, because it shields against scratches, UV rays, and stains while preserving the factory finish. TPU films are self-healing and nearly invisible, maintaining gloss like new. Worth the investment for long-term protection. 

2. Does the PPF easy to break during the installation?

No! Our High-quality PPF (like TPU films) is highly durable and rarely tears during installation. Its elasticity and strong adhesive backing allow smooth application without cracking.
