Tungsten Heavy Alloy Billet is usually composed of tungsten nickel iron, tungsten nickel copper and even tungsten nickel copper iron. In addition, cadmium, molybdenum and other metals are added. It can be made into any shape. High gravity tungsten alloy tube is a common material for radiation shielding and military products. For example, they are used as counterweights for hunting guns, hunting equipment, missiles, armour piercing bullets, oil drilling tools, etc.
Tungsten alloy tubes have the advantages of high density (higher than 60% of lead), good mechanical strength, low thermal expansion, good corrosion resistance, high radiation absorption capacity (higher than lead), simple economic cycle, high strength and high specific gravity, and are suitable for radiation shielding. The high gravity tungsten alloy tube provides the same radiation shielding capacity as lead, while reducing the volume and thickness of the shielding container.
Compared with lead and depleted uranium, tungsten alloys have the advantages of non-toxic and pollution-free. High gravity tungsten alloy tubes are mainly used for the protection of medicine bottles and syringes.
