The ASTM A335 P22 HFW Fin Tube is a high-temperature alloy steel tube with high frequency welded (HFW) fins, designed for use in industrial furnaces, heaters, and boilers. The P22 alloy offers superior thermal strength, oxidation resistance, and creep resistance, making it suitable for continuous operation under extreme heat and pressure.

Function: This section uses convection heat transfer from hot flue gases to heat up the working fluid (such as steam, oil, or gas) inside the finned tubes.
Why P22 Fin Tubes:
High thermal conductivity of fins increases surface area → better heat transfer.
Alloy P22 resists thermal stress, oxidation, and creep, making it ideal for continuous high-temperature exposure.
Conditionally, if the radiant section has lower radiant intensity or is partially shielded, these fin tubes may also be used here to recover radiant + convective heat.
